School Life

Gad’s Hill School is a happy and exciting place where all pupils are supported and encouraged to achieve their best academically and socially, within a community underpinned by the strength of its nurturing pastoral care.

On any day that you visit Gad’s Hill, you are likely to discover something a little out of the ordinary. Our small class sizes at all ages allow for deeply engaging learning and our classrooms are alive with the buzz of participation, collaboration and hard thinking.

Beyond the classroom, you will see children of all ages involved in diverse aspects of school life, whether making music, rehearsing drama in our own theatre, competing in the sports hall or on our spacious field, or active in our Forest School or on parade with the Combined Cadet Force. It is no wonder that so many of our pupils choose to remain in school at the end of each day to take part in extra-curricular clubs and activities.

The open nature of our school environment means that our children are frequently in the fresh air every day, benefitting from our beautiful green spaces and rural aspects, and you will instantly recognise the sense of calm that this brings to our whole site.

Our Facebook (@GadsHillSchoolOfficial) and Instagram (gadshillschoolofficial) pages will give you a glimpse of the many enjoyable events which take place throughout the school year. However, why not see for yourself? We would be delighted to give you a personal tour of the school and show how your child could fulfil their potential through the many opportunities available at Gad’s Hill School.
