Included in the price of school fees, our own in-house catering team provides all pupils in the School with a healthy and broad range of meal choices, on a rotation of three weekly menus. There is a particular focus on sustainability, with many of our fresh ingredients sourced from our local suppliers, and the catering team are rightly proud of their 5-star hygiene rating and adherence to the industry’s best practices for quality food preparation.
Pupils are able to eat a delicious freshly prepared hot main meal or the vegetarian alternative. These menus were drawn up in consultation with our pupil-led School Council and may feature firm favourites such as lasagne, jerk chicken, tikka masala, a weekly roast with trimmings and, of course, the ever-popular fish and chips. In addition to the main meal, the catering team offer a number of other choices to ensure that everyone can find something that they like: jacket potato with a choice of fillings, the Chef’s Special, a Pasta Bar, panini or – new this year – a deli bar serving fresh sandwiches, wraps, bagels, salads and other savoury items. Fresh fruit and desserts are available to all children.
Younger pupils in particular are encouraged by supervising teachers to try new foods and to enjoy a balanced diet, while the knowledgeable staff are able to support pupils with all dietary requirements.
Snacks and refreshments are served during the Juniors and Upper School morning breaks where we operate a cashless system. Fruit is always offered free of charge.
